Challenge
The company needed to modernize and automate as much of their data ingestion, transformation and reporting process as possible. Much of the prior work and knowledge was locked inside of Excel, and data updates and management only happened periodically. They needed a cost effective approach in order to stay current and nimble, to compete with other offerings in the market, all while centralizing their data governance and internal policies.
Solution
Unista helped the company identify the right data warehouse partner and assisted with the contract negotiations. We then dissected their current Excel-based approach and translated it into the data warehouse, allowing for a fully automated data ETL approach. We also configured new dashboards and reports for both internal and external users, providing near real-time views of the data whereas prior reports were collected only at the weekly level. Unista continues to maintain the process and reports so the company can react to market conditions and customer needs.
